3. CHECK THE WEATHER FORECAST

The weather can affect how your stay goes. As if the other factors weren’t enough, in my “hotel from hell” experience, it rained hard for three days and flooded the parking lot in a matter of hours. We thought we were going to have to evacuate the area. Of course, nothing can be done about the weather, but if there was a nearby town you can stay in with a bit better forecast, it might be wise to opt for that.
