4. GET DIRECTIONS EARLY

To avoid delays or risk the hotel booking your room to someone else, call ahead, get directions, use Google maps or GPS to make sure you know where it is before arriving in the town. Especially in larger areas where if you miss one exit, you’re going to be circling the town for another hour! After once almost “going into orbit” around Houston, Texas, trust me on this! I know.
