Traveling is an opportunity to experience a new place and its culture. Unfortunately most travelers stand out like a sore thumb because of their ill-conceived outfits, shoes and accessories. Rather than blending in with locals and experiencing life through a new lens, those travelers are treated as foreigners. Don’t be a foreigner; don’t wear this mess when traveling abroad.

1. Skimpy Clothing

Unless you crave unwanted and uncomfortable stares, leave the bra tops, tanks, miniskirts and cleavage-bearing dresses stateside. If you are traveling to a country that is deeply religious, such as the Middle East or to Jerusalem, you’ll be wise to wear conservative clothing, especially if you want to visit holy sites.
