8. Farnsworth House Inn: Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Civil War buffs who want to be spooked should make their way to the Farnsworth House Inn. Built in 1810 this period styled Victorian Home was at the site of the Battle of Gettysburg, one of the war’s bloodiest battles. Today, guests stay in rooms renovated to the original charm, while servers dressed in period costumes tend to the restaurant. It’s little wonder that there are regular sightings of ghoulish guests, from both the Union and Confederate sides, given the way the Farnsworth House Inn is stuck in a time warp.
