7. Cheeky’s

While pizza shops and Chinese food joints seem to be on every corner in NYC, restaurants that serve authentic New Orleans dishes are not. Maybe that’s why Cheeky’s is so popular. It probably has to do more with the great food at a great price though. The entire Cheeky’s menu sells for less than $8.50 and consists solely of delectable sandwiches. Try the fried chicken on a buttermilk biscuit sandwich. Cheeky’s is serious about authenticity; it flies in its sandwich break directly from the Big Easy. You won’t find anything on the menu better than if you were in Louisiana itself.
