Gimmelwald is a lovely village partway up the Schilthorn with breathtaking views of Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau’s peaks. Accessible only by cable car and hiking trail, this small hamlet boasts fresh cheese from local farmers, beautiful bed and breakfasts and a quaint country charm that’s difficult to find anywhere else. If you’re planning on staying on, bring your groceries along; except for the local cheese shop, there are no other grocery stores.
