In some countries, such as Thailand, Philippines and China, it can be considered rude for dinner guests to finish all of the food on their plates. First of all, it makes the guest look greedy and, second, it will make the host look like he can’t provide sufficient enough food for his guests. To avoid being rude, leave just a little bit of food on your plates at the end of a meal.
