4. Glacier National Park

Step out and up in Peru to find the mystical Machu Picchu, as well as the “other Machu Picchu” called Choquequirao. In 2015 a 3-mile cable car will connect to Choquequirao in hopes that the lesser known site will draw away some of the traffic that traverses Machu Picchu and the Inca Trail. While Machu Picchu already sees 2,500 tourists a day, Choquequirao is expected to go from 5 visitors to 3,000 each day—quite a jump for this ancient aerial site.
