3. See The Simatai Section Of The Great Wall

At thirteen thousand miles long, you could spend an entire year walking up and down the length of the iconic Great Wall of China. Instead of seeing it in its entirety, go to the Simatai section north of Beijing. You’ll see a shimmering wall where the production involved pulling bricks from silver mines to complete construction, with some of the glistening metal peeking out.
