You’ll need to wait until late spring as the park is often still covered in snow in March or April, but in May, Yellowstone comes alive. The summer camping crowds haven’t arrived yet, the park is quiet, and as the snow melts, baby bison, baby elk, and little baby bears emerge for the first time.
