8. EYE Film Institute Netherlands for Film Buffs

Rather than a cinema complex, the EYE Film Institute Netherlands is a magnificent shrine dedicated to the world of film. Freshly opened in 2012, the EYE gives visitors a chance to view cinematic exhibits from Dutch and foreign films, such as Paris cinema from 1900. The outside of the structure is quite eye catching as well, which has made the EYE one of the most popular attractions in Amsterdam.
