4. Tigers

Of the three species of tigers known to have evolved on island chains, the Sumatran tiger still survives to this day. It’s too endangered to see in the wild, but the zoos of Indonesia pride themselves on carrying Sumatran tigers and their adorable cubs. Visit the Tambling Wildlife Nature Conservatory and you can see the biologists breeding the tigers in captivity.
