10. Maiorchino, Sicily

A firm cheese from the south, you find Maiorchino cheese in the Messina region of the island Sicily. Maiorchino is a salted, aged cheese made from the milk of sheep. This walnut-aged cheese becomes surprisingly spicy as it matures, adding a great layer of interest to almost any dish.
