7. Guam is the island of snakes.

For those with a phobia of snakes, avoid Guam! In 1940 the island was introduced to brown tree snakes, quite on accident. Since that event the tree snake has become the top predator in the forest and has now almost completely taken over these wooded areas. Studies show that there are almost 13,000 snakes per square mile. Take that number and multiply it by the tiny 209 square miles we spoke about earlier and you are looking at an island that hosts almost 3 million snakes!
