5. Rocky Mountain National Park

During spring, the Rocky Mountains come alive. Watch male elk as they lock horns in a battle for the ladies, grab your binoculars and try to catch a glimpse of a baby and mama bear fresh out of hibernation, and tromp through the forest in search of springtime blossoms. If you’re lucky, you might even see bighorn sheep, mountain goats, an elusive bobcat, or their new springtime babies.
